A man and woman were arrested and charged in Queens this week, after 20 malnourished and scarred pit bulls were found in a dog fighting investigation. Members of the 113th Precinct Anti-Crime Team and the NYPD Animal Cruelty Investigation Squad raided a home at 117-30 196th St. in Jamaica, Queens, on Thursday, after learning that dog fighting may have been taking place there, police said.

20 Pit Bulls were rescued from horrible conditions in Queens

Officers found 20 emaciated and scarred pit bulls, which were all taken into the custody of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for medical care, police said. Police arrested two suspects – Addison Holder, 44, and Keisha Hall, 33. Both were charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty and animal fighting, police said. They were also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance when methamphetamine was found, police said.
